With an interest in Yunnan's development potential of its bio-medical industry and the hope for mutual cooperation and exchange in CMI, a government delegation from Shanghai Pudong New Area conducted an on-site visit to KBI on March 24, 2010. The delegates were much impressed by the state-of-the -art facility, and thought KBI could have a fair shot at the market, as it has the clear advantage of the combination of unique natural resources, highly skilled scientists and specific focus on preclinical studies utilizing non-human primate models.

Up to now, KBI works in partnership with about 10 collaborators across the world and has developed extensive inland research programs and cooperation with government and industry counterparts.
